And now there are even more DEA/HIs! 7,304 to be precise!
So just how high can we go- is 7000 not enough I ask myself each day as we receive more tales of financial misery and woe in the office from DEA/HIs in serious difficulties.I know I usually do a full write up about how bad it all is just to make us all feel good about ourselves and the industry we have chosen but since:
a) CLG can't be bothered to update their own Numbers of Home Inspectors and Domestic Energy Assessors website, looks like the staff cutbacks are taking their toll at Bressenden Place!!
b) I can't be bothered either owing to my workload

here we have a new total from the CLG total-o-meter because I have just been reading Parliamentary Answers:
Fri, 25 April 2008 | House of Commons - Written Answer
Prisk - Energy performance certificate (inspections)
Mr. Prisk: To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government how many inspectors she estimates will be qualified to assess a property for an energy performance certificate by 1 April 2008. [193760]
Caroline Flint: As at 1 April we had 7,304 assessors accredited to provide energy performance certificates.

Oh joy!!
